Adding a compact automatic capping module after semi-automatic filling

Adding a compact automatic capping module after semi-automatic filling

When one manual station becomes a bottleneck, the right investment may be a standalone automation module, not a completely new line.

CM3 Engineering — automatic twist-off capping case study and video

CM3 describes a compact conveyor-fed capping system using a pneumatic screwdriver and HMI recipe settings for glass jars.

Integration concept

Filled jars enter the conveyor, are positioned for capping and closed according to the selected recipe. The module can be integrated after an existing filling machine.

Practical design checks

Assess line speed, container formats, cap tolerances, hygiene, floor space, upstream/downstream handshaking, jam detection and changeover procedures.
