System architecture

Part-present sensor triggers a camera → controlled lighting and imaging → AI inference → OK/NG signal to PLC → diverter, reject station or alarm.

Start with one economically important defect and collect representative accepted and rejected examples.

Validate before production

Lighting, positioning, trigger timing and line speed all affect results. Measure false accepts and false rejects against independently held-out production samples.
